When you work for a big banner, you don't open your mouth. That is pretty much an unwritten rule in Bollywood.
Aamir Bashir, the guy who played a police officer in A Wednesday, learnt this lesson the hard way.
I'm told he had managed to bag a very plum role – that of Shah Rukh Khan's brother – in Karan Johar's next My Name Is Khan. What's more, he was even supposed to fly to LA!
As luck would have it, Aamir was denied the visa. And the next thing I remember seeing was a huge photograph of our man on the front page of a prominent Mumbai tabloid.
A little birdie tells me that the production house was quite miffed with Aamir talking to the media and asked him to stay where he was!
Meanwhile, Jimmy Shergill has replaced him in the film. Funnily, Jimmy played Aamir's colleague in A Wednesday.
Poor fellow Aamir, he's apparently been trying to mend bridges real hard. Well, Aamir you could start by not shooting off your mouth you know!
