AdSense Payments are sent via Free secured delivery within India

Google has announced a good news for Indian AdSense Publishers. AdSense publishers who have opted secured express delivery for AdSense payments checks will not be charged for delivery within India. Earlier any AdSense publisher who use to receive payment by checks and wanted secured express delivery had to shell out US$ 25 as delivery charges. Now Google has tied up with Blue Dart Courier company for delivery of checks within India. Now Google will not charge any fees for delivery of checks. So its a saving of $25, specially big saving for those publishers who receive their payment every month. Publishers can also track their payments by tracking number at www.bluedart.com which will be posted on 15th on any month.

Google AdSense has automatically changed the secured delivery option as Standard delivery in the account of Indian AdSense publishers. In areas where Blue Dart service is not available checks will be delivered by registered post and will reach within 2-3 weeks from date of delivery.

Asin's two avatars!

Those pining to see the Ghajini girl Asin on the silver screen again could catch her in dual roles in the Hindi version of the Tamil hit ‘Dasavatharam’.

It would be double treat for the audience to see the chirpy actress back in theatres opposite none other than Kamal Haasan . No need to wait till London Dreams releases.

As reports convey, the movie’s dubbed version releases next Friday. In it, Asin plays the double role – one of a woman from the 12th century and another from the 21st.
he Tamil ‘Dasavathram’ (Ten Avatars) was released last year in the month of June and was a hit down south. Haasan plays ten different roles in the film.

Initially, it was Vidya Balan who was considered for the role, but finally Asin did it. The movie took more than three years to complete because of various hurdles and was made on a budget of Rs. 60 crores, a staggering amount for any Tamil movie till date. Bollywood sex symbol Mallika Sherawat plays the second lead in the film. And the film also features a much-hyped song composed by Himesh Reshammiya .

‘Dasavatharam’ revolves around a research scientist and an ex-CIA officer who are after a biological weapon lost in USA that can cause massive destruction.

With ‘Dasavatharam’, Asin got another major hit into her kitty after super hit Ghajini (Tamil) . As for now the lady is busy with Bollywood projects as Ghajini’s success has opened many doors for her.

Trisha takes a pay cut

The reigning queen of Tamil and Telugu cinema industry, Trisha is all set to make her presence felt in Mollywood. This is in fact Trisha’s first Malayalam venture wherein the actress will star opposite the Malayalam star Dileep.

Apparently, Trisha had reduced her pay packet to star in this venture. Grapevine has it that Trisha was thrilled on hearing the story and decided on a lesser pay though she has quite a lot of Tamil and Telugu films in her kitty. While actresses from the Malayalam film industry have been reigning in Kollywood and Tollywood, Trisha could just do that in the Malayalam film industry with her new assignment!

Riya Sen gets her hands dirty

Well, not literally, The sexy siren Riya Sen plays a construction worker in a children and environmental film called ‘Zor Laga ke Haiya’! Directed by Girish Joshi, her character is that of a Maharashtrian village belle.

Starring Mithun Chakraborthy, Mahesh Manjrekar, Seema Biswas and Riya Sen, the film has even won an award at the Las Vegas film festival. Word is out that the film is soon to be released in India too.

Asin goes Nepalese

The smash hit film Ghajini, which was originally made in Tamil and then in Hindi, is all set to be remade in Nepalese. Geetha Arts, the same production house that produced the Hindi version, will be remaking the film in Nepalese under the title Gajendra.

Noted Napalese film maker Narayan Puri will don the director’s cloak for this venture. It may be noted that Puri has several Nepalese films to his credit including the latest Alpabiram, which is based on an army man and a Maoist. Though the star cast not yet been finalized, Puri revealed that Asin, who played the role Kalpana in both the Tamil as well as the Hindi version, will play the role in Gajendra too.

Kareena wears dress worth Rs.800,000

New Delhi, April 1 (IANS) Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor will sport a dress worth Rs.800,000 for a song in "Kambakkht Ishq". Producer Sajid Nadiadwala had specially ordered it for the actress from Paris.

"When the song was completed and the whole crew had a look, it looked very beautiful and eye catching. But most importantly everyone's eyes were stuck at seeing Kareena's dress. Kareena was looking gorgeous. The dress cost Rs.800,000," said a source close to the producer.

The filmmaker has also gifted the dress to Kareena as she looked really pretty wearing it.

"Sajid Nadiadwala is a wonderful person at heart. He always makes sure that his cast and crew is happy. Kareena was happy after receiving such an extra-ordinary gift from Sajid bhai. She was short of words to express her feeling after she received the gift." added the source.

Kareena plays a supermodel in the movie, which has Akshay Kumar in the male lead. It also stars Hollywood biggies Sylvester Stallone, Brandon Routh and Denise Richards.

Dev Patel, Freida Pinto caught kissing

Slumdog Millionaire stars Dev Patel and Freida Pinto have been caught kissing during a romantic night out in Israel. Rumours that the actors, who played childhood sweethearts in the Oscar-winning movie, are dating for real began circulating after Slumdog co-star Anil Kapoor hinted they were an item, reports Contactmusic.

Kapoor said, "When I meet them I feel there is something happening. (I think) this is the beginning of something exciting happening. They definitely make a great pair. Both of them look very good together." However, Patel and Pinto have frequently dismissed rumours they are dating.

Pinto said: "We're not dating," while 18-year-old Patel added, "No, we're not seeing each other." However, the British teenager recently visited Israel to see Pinto on the set of her new movie ‘Miral’, and the pair was later spotted enjoying a few tender moments during a romantic dinner.

Saif meets Aamir on 3 Idiots sets

Saif Ali Khan just recently visited Aamir Khan on the sets of his film 3 Idiots in Mumbai. Sources claim, the Chote Nawab who has now turned a producer is trying to safeguard his interest but since Love Aaj Kal, which is scheduled for a June end release. is his first production he doesn’t want it to get affected by the dispute.

Sources further revealed, “Aamir was pleasantly surprised when Saif visited him as Kareena Kapoor who is also acting in the film wasn’t shooting that day. But Aamir then made time for Saif that afternoon during lunch and talked to him about the current status on the issue and the stand they are likely to take in the future. The meeting was said to be highly informative for Saif who left the venue a bit more assured and in hope that things sort out before his film releases.”

Esha endorsing a Paris cosmetic giant!

Esha Deol has not been seen around after the debacle of her last film Hijack. Industrywalas have been left wondering where she has disappeared. But our sources have found out that she is very much in Mumbai, cooling her heels at her new House in Goregaon where she is put up with her mom, actress Hema Malini and sister Aahana. A close pal of Esha has now also revealed that she is being considered as the brand ambassador of a Paris based cosmetic giant.

Reveals the close pal further, “To compete with famous International cosmetic brand L’Oreal which has star brand ambassadors such as Aishwarya Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor, a rival cosmetic giant wants to rope in an Indian face that has a well toned body, is young and has got a good height. Esha has fit their bill perfectly and the deal is under negotiations now. When things get finalized, a proper media announcement shall be made with a big event taking place in a Mumbai star hotel. Esha meanwhile is presently busy working on the interior decorations of her new House and is avoiding going to parties and film events.”

27 years old Esha now only has one film on hand, Aditya Datt’s Chai Garam opposite Govinda and Suniel Shetty. We just hope that this endorsement deal goes through for the Dhoom girl and bring her back in circulation.

Priyanka Chopra has walked out of Siddharth Anand’s next project opposite Ranbir Kapoor over weighty issue. Priyanka who was recently hospitalised is in no position to gain 20 kilos for her look in the movie. The Bollywood actress has toned her body for a slim look in Yash Raj Films' Pyaar Impossible opposite Uday Chopra and her metabolism won't allow her to instantly gain 20 kilos.

Siddharth Anand is currently looking out for Priyanka's replacement but is yet to zero in on someone. Priyanka has a busy year ahead of her and she will be next seen in the movie Kaminey with her new found boy friend Shahid Kapoor. She will than star in Ashutosh Gowarikar's What's Your Raashee? with her ex-beau Hurman Baweja.

Kareena will do anything for Shahid's movie

Shooting for a snack ad in Chandigarh with one of her favourite directors Imtiaz Ali , Kareena Kapoor is one worried girl. Before she left for New York on April 20 for a month-long shoot she must complete the dubbing for her over-fresh Kambhakt Ishq and woefully-stalled Milenge Milenge.

Close to collapse due to over-exertion and exhaustion, Kareena is determined to prove she’s a thorough professional . Defying all the talk that she has been sidelining her only pending assignment with Shahid Kapoor, Kareena is in fact been running in and out of the dubbing studio to complete the dubbing of Milenge Milenge before she leaves the country.

Sighing with fatigue Kareena says, “We’re all professionals here . For me it doesn’t matter who the leading man in Milenge Milenge is . For me what is important is that I made a commitment to two of my favourite people in the industry producer boney kapoor and director Satish Kaushik who’ve stood by me from the beginning of my career. How can I let them down? Boney wants a summer release for his film. I’ve to complete my dubbing before I leave.”

Putting aside every waking moment Kareena is determined to complete her work on Milenge Milenge. “I’m running in and out of two dubbing studios .I’ve already completed most of the dubbing for both.”

The film is Special because after Jab We Met this is the only time Kareena will be seen with Shahid Kapoor. Says Kareena, “I know people have expectations from us individually and as a pair, And they won’t be disappointed. It’s a very sweet film. And not dated at all though it got delayed. “I’m as proud of Milenge Milenge as I am of any of my films,” ends Kareena.

Shahid restricts Priyanka from boozing

We all know Priyanka Chopra was recently admitted in a hospital for her tummy infection. But not many are aware that the she has been put off from alcohol following her discharge. Sources claim, it is not just the doctors but her boy friend Shahid Kapoor who seems to have imposed a NO DRINKS rule on her.

Sources add, "Though Priyanka cannot be called an alcoholic, she does enjoy a glass of wine or champagne occasionally that too only when she is with her closest friends. Shahid is a strict vegetarian and also a teetotaler and it is but natural that he expects his new girl friend to be the same. It is a known fact that Shahid had turned his ex girlfriend Kareena Kapoor vegetarian and a teetotaler like him too”.

This step with Priyanka has been taken by him because he was extremely worried when she got stomach infection as there was fear of it aggravating by having alcohol." The source further adds, "It is not just alcohol, Shahid is also wanting Priyanka to go slow on work and take enough rest."

Ranbir having doubts about Deepika

It is a well known fact that Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are having constant tiffs in their relationship. The reason being Deepika's over possessive nature which is making life difficult for Ranbir. First victim was his childhood friendship with sonam kapoor and now Deepika is uncomfortable with his Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani actress Katrina Kaif.

Ranbir Kapoor is now having serious doubt in his mind whether to continue his relationship with Deepika. Same is the case with the Om Shanti Om actress who doesn't feel comfortable with Ranbir anymore. In a recent interview when Ranbir was asked about his marriage Ranbir said he had not decided when to get married and whom to get married to raising a few eyebrows.

Sources close to the Kapoor family say that Ranbir's mother Neetu Singh is not fond of Deepika anymore and Ranbir's sister Riddhima is not in talking terms with the actress. In an interview a few months back Neetu had gone to the extent of saying Deepika was just another girlfriend in her son's life and she was not sure if they would stick to each other in the future.

Deepika approached for Arundhati

Telugu Cinema history’s biggest super hit Arundhati is all set to be made into Hindi now by its original makers. Recently news was out that the makers had approached Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi actress Anushka Sharma but the deal couldn’t get through since she was still tied up under her mentors Yash Raj three film contract. Now the makers, it is learnt have approached Deepika Padukone for the same role.

Sources reveal, “After Anushka Sharma another name being considered was the name of the original heroine from the Telugu blockbuster hit whose name is also Anushka. But then considering the fact that she is still an unknown face in Bollywood they decided to opt for a more popular young actress in Bollywood who doesn’t have a set image and the Om Shanti Om girl’s name cropped up. The discussions are on but nothing has been finalized as of yet though.”

But another industry insider reveals, “With Sonu Sood more or less finalized in the most powerful male character’s role in the film it seems less likely that Deepika would agree to be a part of the film. Considering the fact that he is still not a Bollywood A list star, Deepika might have her apprehensions in working in such a project. While the makers chose to remain adamant on their choice of Sonu Sood (he also played the main villain in the Telugu original) it won’t be easy for them to find a big heroine for their ambitious project.”

We just hope better sense prevails for Deepika and she agrees to do the film. The project appears far better than her Chandni Chowk To China.

Kajol, Karan Johar at loggerheads

Shahrukh Khan – Kajol starrer My Name Is Khan, directed by their best buddy Karan Johar seems to be spoiling relations between Kajol and Karan. They are said to be at loggerheads following disagreement on shooting abroad.

A source reveals, “One big schedule of the film has already been wrapped up in the USA before Shahrukh’s shoulder surgery. Karan shot some portions of the film in Mumbai’s Borivili area with Slumdog Millionaire child actor Tanay Chheda who plays Shahrukh’s childhood part. Post Shahrukh coming back from his IPL 2 commitments from South Africa, there is yet another schedule being planned for the US. But Kajol it seems is not too keen on shooting out of India, as she has to leave her daughter Nysa back home who goes to school.

“So while the shooting in Mumbai in June coincided with Nysa’s school days, Kajol had no problems. But Karan also has to shoot some more sequences in New York, which Kajol is refusing to oblige with. She was informed that there would be only one schedule in the US, which she had agreed. But now since Karan wants to go back for whatever reasons, Kajol is adamant and just won’t.”

Another insider reveals, “Karan expects that his good friend understands his problem but Kajol wants him to shoot these portions in Mumbai itself on specially built sets. But Karan being Karan just doesn’t want to compromise on such things. So now that’s a deadlock even the King Khan might not be able to resolve.”

Shriya saran is ready to hit telugu screens again

After a long hiatus, Shriya Saran’s going to be back in Tollywood with a bilingual film Pista. She is paired opposite Vishal in this love story laced with action. Hrithik asked to reduce waistline

He is B-town’s favourite pin up boy and is one the fittest men out here. So it’s nothing short of a surprise if he fights the extra kilos. But that’s the truth as he has been asked to reduce his waistline for a commercial.

Gosh...loads of strange things happen in the world of showbiz. Reportedly the ad makers of a clothing line which Hrithik Roshan endorses wanted the superstar to look fitter and best for an upcoming commercial that’s aimed at the youth.

They are supposedly perfectionists and they went ahead and asked him to get leaner by a few inches and even shed the muscular look which he’s sporting for his home production Kites.

The buzz is that Hrithik’s dad Rakesh Roshan was not in favour of his son losing any muscle as that extra lean look wouldn’t have suited Hrithik’s character in the upcoming Sanjay Leela Bhansali film. He is about to shoot for that film and papa Roshan knows the best.

But the very professional actor decided to listen to his heart and the ad filmmaker and shed some weight. He actually ended up reducing his waistline from 30 inches to 28 inches for the shoot.

Now that’s called dedication. Hrithik sure has loads of it. No wonder he’s one of the biggies out here.

Anushka pairing with Shahid Kapoor

Anushka Sharma started her career as a young girl romancing the much older Shahrukh Khan. But South Indian actress Asin Thottumkal, who made debut at the same time opposite Aamir Khan walked away with most of the limelight.

After a lull, Anushka is all set to bounce back and this time with someone who’s closer to her age Shahid Kapoor. And yes, she is working with her mentors- Yash Raj films all over again.

The buzz is that Anushka and Shahid will be paired in a film to be directed by actor Parmeet Sethi, who worked with Yash Raj years before the hit film Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge happened. Apparently Aditya Chopra approved of the idea while shooting for Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.

According to reports, Parmeet has also roped in stand-up comedian Veer Das and Indian Idol contestant and host Meiyang Chang as lead actors of the film which will tell the story of four people and how they evolve in life.

Parmeet wasn’t too forthcoming and just revealed: “It’s true that I am planning to make this film but I will speak in depth when I get a go-ahead from the production House (Yash Raj).”

Maybe he’s being superstitious about things and thinks that revealing will make it difficult for the film. Yash Raj too propagates such a strategy.

The movie has already been tagged as an ‘unconventional film’. Well, that’s a cliché statement. We’ll only know when the film finally releases!

Asin's father troubles Salman

When Bollywood actresses are often accompanied by their mothers to the sets, our Ghajini actress Asin Thottumkal is often accompanied by her father. 

Asin's father Joseph Thottumkal, better known as JT, is an exception. He tags along wherever the Ghajini actress goes, including award functions and product launches. JT was managing his own business, but as soon as his daughter shot to stardom, he decided to let go his entrepreneurship to manage his daughter's work.

He even accompanies her to all her foreign shoots and the latest is that he has also shifted based to Mumbai to be with her. Sources reveal that when Asin was shooting for her forthcoming venture Vipul Shah’s London Dreams with Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan, JT was always around advising his daughter. 

This did not go down too well with Salman and he was often irked by the father’s interference. Yet Salman tried being courteous to him. There was a buzz that Salman liked his London Dreams co-star and has been showering her with gifts. Naturally since Asin’s father is constantly by his daughter’s side, Salman must be finding it a little difficult to be friendly to her.

Salman-Kat fight over Asin and Ranbir

Industry sources reveal that it's all over between Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. And also that the couple has decided to stay friends. Says a source in B-Town, "Salman and Katrina have been having problems for over a month. Though their relationship has hit rough spots before, and they've taken a break from each other, it remains to be seen if this time the split is final. 

The couple has been having arguments for some time now but things came to a head about 20 days ago. The couple had a major fight over various issues the main one being Katrina's growing proximity to her Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani (APKGK) co-star Ranbir Kapoor."

A friend close to the actor says, "Initially, Salman didn't pay heed to the Kat-Ranbir rumours. Especially as the actress told him that the Kapoor boy had a crush on her and she wasn't interested in him. But stories carried back by the unit of (APKGK) from Ooty, confirmed his suspicions. 

When Salman confronted his girlfriend, she turned around and told him that she didn't question him about his link-up with Asin, so had no business asking her about her friendship with her co-stars." Sources also reveal that Salman (43) has been wanting to get married and have kids, while Katrina (24) feels she's too young to be tied down. "The couple has had many arguments on this subject."

It's a cooling off period between the couple now. The source says, "A few days ago, SalKat had a major fight, though no one knows what the fight was about this time. And they decided to call it quits for some time. Katrina, who has been staying in Salman's Bandra apartment, shifted out to her own one (bought by Salman) on Waterfield Road. Two days ago Salman told his friends that he and Katrina were 'just friends'.

Adds a friend of the actress, "Katrina has been in a low mood for the last couple of days and flew off to Singapore on Wednesday night to shoot for De Dhana Dhan with Akshay Kumar. More than a year ago they had gone through a similar situation, fought and almost broken up but got back together again. This time, their patch-up looks difficult." Katrina Kaif remained unavailable for comment. Sallu denied that anything of the sort took place.

Bollywood stars heading for South Africa

Most big Bollywood stars are heading to South Africa and not different cities of India like last year, for the Indian Premier League (IPL) matches.

So top names like Shahrukh Khan, Shilpa Shetty, preity zinta and Akshay Kumar would be gracing the front benches there rather than taking the heat and pollution in India for the sake of work.

Preity, Shahrukh and Shilpa are there to support and cheer for their respective teams. Shahrukh owns the Kolkata Knight Riders along with juhi chawla and her husband Jai Mehta.

Preity Zinta along with her man Ness Wadia became proud owners of the Mohali team Kings XI Punjab, and Shilpa Shetty owns the winning team of 2008, Rajasthan Royals along with her beau Raj Kundra.

Akshay is in South Africa for work – he is shooting for his program ‘Fear Factor II’. Other Bollywood actors are like to go there to support the teams of their fellow actors. The IPL Season II is staring tomorrow, i.e, April 18.

So South Africa is getting coloured with the hues of B-Town. Fans and audiences really do have some real entertainment to look forward to.

It’s touted as the biggest hit in the history of Telugu cinema. And now Arundhati is all set to be remade in Hindi. Many producers including Ghajini’s Madhu Mantena were vying for the Hindi remake rights. But the producer of the original film M. Shyam Prasad Reddy has decided to remake the film in Hindi.

Sonu Sood, who played the main antagonist in the Telugu film and is all set to encore the same part in Hindi version.“I’m excited because we all worked very hard on making the Telugu original something special. Lots of producers wanted to remake it in Hindi. But now the original producer has decided to go for it. The Hindi Arundhati will be far more expensive and polished. We start shooting in June,” revealed Sonu.

Sood has already started preparing for the part. “The Hindi version will have to be severely revised.” The remake expert Priyadarshan was approached to direct Arundhati in Hindi. Apparently Priyadarshan could not allot time at such short notice.

“And the original director Kodi Ramkrishna can’t understand Hindi. So we’re probably going with a guy named Rahul who did all the special effects in Tamil.”

And now the most crucial question is, who plays the central role of Arundhati in this woman-dominated film? Though no one is willing to commit to any name, sources reveal that the makers of Arundhati were very keen to sign Anushka Sharma who starred with Shahrukh Khan in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.

Says the source, “They needed someone strong, robust, young and determined and very North Indian as the lead in Hindi. They really wanted Anushka Sharma. She was perfect. But the producer was under the impression that she’s under contract with Yash Raj Films and unable to do any outside film. Now they might settle for the actress who played the lead in the Telugu Arundhati in Hindi version too. Coincidentally her name is also Anushka.”

Surprisingly, Arjan (Fashion) Bajwa, who played the romantic lead in Arundhati, is not part of the Hindi remake. When questioned Arjan says, “They haven’t asked me. Even if they had I wouldn’t do it. Have you seen what has been done to my role in the Telugu film?”

Shahrukh-Aishwarya: The lost chemistry

Some things are just not meant to be. Shahrukh Khan and Aishwarya Bachchan sizzled on screen as a twin brother-sister jodi in Josh. Then their pairing was accepted in Aditya Chopra’s Mohabbatein and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Devdas too. They really had good chemistry.

But that was that. They were not supposed to act together after that. It all started when Aishwarya’s ex boyfriend Salman Khan barged into the sets of Chalte Chalte and Aishwarya ended up being chucked out in favour of Rani Mukherjee.

Ash never warmed up to Shahrukh Khan and Rani after that. Things soured badly between Salman and her too. She moved on happily with the Bachchans, got some international films and let her chemistry flow with Hrithik Roshan.

Recently Mani Ratnam wanted to cast Shahrukh in the lead role opposite Aishwarya in his latest bilingual film Raavan which he’s working on currently. After things didn’t work out for him in Raju Hirani’s 3 Idiots and Shankar’s Robot, he seemed to have some free time.

Mani had then spoken to him about Raavan and the superstar expressed interest in the project. He wanted a good film in his kitty and didn’t care so much about the fact that Aishwarya was the leading lady.

But before Mani came to Mumbai and gave him a detailed script narration, Aditya Chopra approached Shahrukh for his comeback film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. And the actor gave his dates to his dear friend.

Mani didn’t want to delay the film and he took Abhishek Bachchan as the film’s male lead instead of Shahrukh. So Shahrukh and Aishwarya lost a chance to work together again.

Not that they mind, but maybe their pairing would have worked wonders for their careers. And maybe it’s a chance lost!

Priyanka Chopra with Ranbir!

It looks like the seemingly never-say-die friendship between director Siddharth Anand and Saif Ali Khan is for all practical purposes, over.

After their two films together Salaam Namaste and Ta Ra Rum Pum, the two had sworn to work together again... and again. But Ta Ra Rum Pum didn't do well. And Siddharth quickly got gravitated towards his childhood buddy Ranbir Kapoor for his next film Bachna Ae Haseeno.

It was widely believed that Saif would be back in Sid Anand's next which he is committed to make for producer Sajid Nadiadwala. But the producer confirms that Ranbir is the lead in the film that Sid Anand is making for Nadiadwala.

The surprising bit of casting is the hot-and-happening Priyanka Chopra. Though neither producer nor director are willing to confirm, according to dependable sources, Priyanka who's currently shooting with Uday Chopra for Yash Raj Films Pyaar Impossible will be teamed up with Ranbir for the first time.

The actress has lately been window-shopping for the hottest male actors in Bollywood and has so far managed films with all the three Khan superstars, several projects with Abhishek Bachchan, Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan, has just completed Kaminey with Shahid Kapoor and is now on to the new generation of stars with Ranbir leading the bright pack. The pairing spree certainly gives Priyanka an edge over her rivals.

Siddharth Anand describes the Ranbir-Priyanka film as, "A rom-com which I've specialized in over the years. But this is a twisted one with a twang and all that jazz."

Asin denies affair with Salman

Bollywood actress Asin Thottumkal has denied having any sort of romantic inclination towards Salman Khan. The Ghajini star added that Salman Khan was her co-star in London Dreams and their relationship was very professional. Asin replaces Katrina Kaif

Ash breaks her silence on Katrina's Barbie claims

After the talks that Aishwarya Bachchan would be immortalized as a Barbie doll, there was speculation that Genelia D’Souza was considered too because of her doll like and younger face. Then suddenly it came out that Katrina Kaif would be the Barbie and she claimed that Ash was not in the running at all.

Katrina also went around telling whoever cared to listen that she’s the first Indian to get that privilege. Well, many ridiculed that claim of hers as she holds a British passport. And she might claim that she has nothing against Aishwarya and that she respects her and all that, but smart cookie Aishwarya isn't one to stay quiet without clarifying things.

Aishwarya hit back by saying that she refused the Barbie doll deal due to her professional commitments. In fact her representatives were in negotiations with Barbie's manufacturer Mattel, who planned to give the iconic doll a Bollywood face. But the deal did not take off. In fact since 1994 when Aishwarya won the Miss World title, the company has made numerous attempts to make a celebrity doll modelled on the Indian beauty. 

However, she could never make time for their endeavour, due to her professional commitments. Again on the doll's 50th anniversary, Aishwarya was approached to appear decked up as a celebrity Barbie but she had to opt out of that too due to her prior commitments with filmmakers whose shooting schedules clashed with the event.

A statement issued by Aishwarya's spokesperson said, "Mattel was keen to have the actress walk the ramp on Lakme Fashion Week 'Barbie dolled up' in a winning design as Single Likeness Barbie, which would be unveiled and auctioned for a charity of her choice."

God alone knows what the whole truth is. Hopefully we’ll get a glimpse of the whole truth one fine day Till then, Katrina can shut up and enjoy it all.

Priyanka collapsed on the film sets

Too much of anything is not good. Actresses like Kareena Kapoor and Mallika Sherawat have fainted earlier due to over work. It seems actress Priyanka Chopra is also having health problem due to her busy shooting schedule. She recently collapsed on the sets of her latest film What's Your Raashee? directed by Ashutosh Gowariker.

It is said that the actress passed out due to exhaustion and low blood pressure while shooting for What's Your Raashee?, where she acts with her ex-boyfriend Hurman Baweja. The incident left the unit of the film horrified and a doctor was called in to the sets. Priyanka's mother also rushed to the location. The actress however recovered sooner than expected..

It is said that the actress resumed shooting after regaining consciousness even though director Ashutosh Gowariker was ready to pack up for the day. Such a professional she is, Priyanka left for the hospital only after completing the shooting of the day.

Though Priyanka knew that work has taken a big toll on her health, she went on to perform at the Pantaloons Femina Miss India 2009 grand finale.

Have you come across any girl with tattoo on the chest? Believe it or not, actress Katrina Kaif has got a tattoo on her chest and her arm. Aamir, Shahrukh still not speaking to each other

The news that most of Bollywood and fans of Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan were happy to hear relating to the two khans patching up isn’t true and the two superstars are still not speaking to each other. So what made them spend time together at friend Karan Johar’s home recently?

We spoke to our source who was present at the meeting and he said that it was all to discuss the current strike in Bollywood and nothing else,

“Both Shahrukh and Aamir are producers in their own right. Karan Johar decided to call a meeting of all young producers like Aamir, Shahrukh, Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar. Both Saif and Akshay were not in town, so Aamir and Shahrukh were called.”

Further our source adds, ”The reason why the meeting was called is because Karan planned to address the media. He then thought of including Shahrukh and Aamir as well and so the three met at Karan’s home. The topic was the current strike in Bollywood and what they could do to help and resolve the argument between the Producers’ Association and the multiplexes. Both Shahrukh and Aamir have a good relationship with most multiplexes and hence Karan felt that if the two tried to intervene then it would just work for the greater good of the industry.”

He continues, “Both Aamir and Shahrukh are professional. They will never let their personal differences come in the way of their work. Also with the IPL round the corner, Shahrukh will get busy with that too and so he wanted to address the media about his stand on the situation before he leaves for South Africa. Till date he hasn’t openly addressed the public about his stand on the situation and they have just united for this only,” says the source.

The argument between the multiplexes, producers and directors is still on and there seems no end in sight. Last evening actor-director-producer Aamir Khan along with his Bollywood colleagues including Shahrukh Khan, Karan Johar, Yash Chopra, Ronnie Screwwala addressed the media about the ongoing strike. Speaking at the press conference he talked in detail about the multiplex vs. producers and distributors issue. He also explained why a fifty percent sharing makes sense and why the industry should be united at this troubled time.

Mani having a tough time with Aishwarya

Mani Ratnam is the boss on his sets likes his actors to listen to him. But the perfectionist director seems to be having lots of problems with Aishwarya Bachchan who stars in his movie Raavan. Believe it or not, actress Kareena Kapoor wore a dress worth Rs.8 lakh for a particular song in the film Kambakkht Ishq. It is said that producer Sajid Nadiadwala had ordered the dress from Paris specially for Kareena.

The news of the expensive dress has spread far and wide. It is said that Kareena looked wonderful in the dress. Throwing one more surprise, the producer gifted the dress to Kareena, making the talkative girl went short of words to express her feeling.

Kambakkht Ishq has Kareena in the role of a supermodel and Akshay Kumar is the lead actor. It also features international big names like Sylvester Stallone, Brandon Routh and Denise Richards.

Snoop Dogg Millionaire features Tanvi Shah

Controversial American rapper Snoop Dogg is the latest international celebrity to join the Slumdog Millionaire bandwagon. Soon after Pussycat Dolls recorded their version of the Oscar winning Jai Ho, the latest news is that Snoop Dogg has done something similar with the help of Tanvi Shah whose vocals appear on the original version of Jai Ho. Snoop Dogg was last in the news for recording the Singh Is Kinng title rap song with Akshay Kumar.

The track called Snoop Dogg Millionaire has Tanvi Shah singing samples over his rap. She can be heard singing “Kahaan se aaya aur kya ban gaya... Yeh hai Snoop Dogg Millionaire.” Tanvi is one of A R Rahman’s most frequently used artistes and also performed at the 81st Annual Academy Awards with him. Tanvi’s samples in Snoop Dogg Millonaire have a very Indian and Bollywood feel to it. And speculation is now rife that Snoop Dogg Millionaire will feature on Snoop’s soon to be released album Malice in Wonderland which would be a huge break for Tanvi Shah.

In fact Snoop has also released a CD-in lay along with the song which is very similar to Danny Boyle’s poster for Slumdog Millionaire and features Tanvi's name prominently. Tanvi who is currently in the US remained unavailable for comment but in a previous interview she had acknowledged that she had several big international projects coming up.

Shahrukh is a Terminator

Picture of action Hero Arnold Schwarzenegger flashes through your mind with the very mention of the word 'terminator'. His body was nothing but machine in one of the Terminator series. This is in reel life but Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan is a terminator in real life.

Well, Shahrukh is a terminator if we are to go by the number of metals being fixed inside the body. He has spine surgery a few years ago and he is currently recuperating from a shoulder surgery. He is amused on being called a Terminator. He said that he is a Terminator, in the sense he terminates rivals and obstacles. He added that he is more bionic than before.

Known for being energetic, Shahrukh Khan has resumed his daily activities. He has started shooting for his latest film My Name Is Khan by Karan Johar and is busy chalking out strategies for his cricket team Kolkata Knight Riders in the upcoming Twenty20 Indian Premiere League (IPL) in South Africa.

Akshay-Twinkle in obscenity row

Akshay Kumar recently walked the ramp in the Lakme Fashion Week for designer Tarun Tahiliani. After doing his act he went to wife Twinkle Khanna and asked her to unbutton his jeans. This act brought in cheers and roar from the crowd but a certain section was shocked and considered it to be obscene and in bad taste. Little did Akki know that his unbuttoning act would turn into a major obscenity row. 

A social worker Anil Nair has submitted a written complaint against the actor, his wife Twinkle, the designer and the organisers of the show to the Vakola police station. He has urged the police to book them for indecent, vulgar and obscene behaviour and submitted clipping and photographs of the event. He said they should be booked under section 292 related to sale of obscene objects and section 293, related with sale of obscene objects to young persons.

The police on its part is investigating the case and a senior police official said that the evidence is being examined before registering an FIR so that the case stands a chance in court. He added that the opinion of the legal experts have to be taken before reaching a conclusion with the case. Akshay Kumar is the brand ambassador of Levis jeans in India and his act was to promote the new range of jeans which comes with a tag ‘Unbuttoned’.

Deepika is scared of snakes

While shooting for the second issue of Harper's Bazaar in Thailand, Deepika Padukone found snakes in quite close proximity. Talking about the snake attack, an ophidiophobic Deepika says, "I have always had a phobia about snakes. I don't mind anything from lizards to insects, but I am terrified of snakes. We were given these fancy villas in the middle of a forest at a resort called The Banyan Tree. I was relaxing outside my room at night when I happened to look down near my feet and saw a huge snake, almost three feet long with it's hood raised, staring at me!"

Deepika shudders and says, "It was THE scariest moment of my life. I jumped and screamed loudly. My mom was in her room and came out to see all the commotion was about but by that time the snake had slithered away."

But Deepika prefers to cite the incident as a positive one. She says, "In India, we worship snakes and I feel the fact that I actually saw one was a blessing for me. How many people encounter snakes in real life? It's a very good sign. 

It was a privilege shooting for Harper's Bazaar India's second edition. Atul Kasbekar shot some great pictures in Thailand. We'd shoot only in the evenings during sunset so we call it a spa shoot. We would relax through out the day at the spas in our hotel. I took my mum along and spent quality time with her. It was more a holiday than work."

Deepika is always ready for a good cause. Last week, she walked the ramp in a Carolina Herrera dress for Mai Mumbai at the LFW a show put up by Vikram Chatwal and Naomi Campbell to raise funds for the 26/11 victims of the terror attacks. 

Deepika says, "I walked the ramp at the last minute as I had to fly to Bangalore for the Bengaluru Marathon press conference. But since it was for the cause Mai Mumbai, I stayed back. The funds are going for 26/11 victims and provide infrastructure like ambulances and first aid so I had to be there. It was a good cause and Mumbai has given me so much."

The news may be already out that Aamir Khan is donning the Sardar avatar for his new ad film for Tata Sky but we have now found out that this ad was shot with Asin too being a part of it with Aamir.

Our sources revealed, “Aamir has taken special interest in this ad right from deciding upon his costumes, make up, dialogues to even the background music. Through this ad he plans to make his presence felt in the upcoming IPL tournament. Though he doesn’t own an IPL team like his Bollywood counterparts Shahrukh Khan, Shilpa Shetty and Preity Zinta, this new Tata Sky ad campaign is going to be widely advertised during the IPL matches on the channel showing the tournament. Asin’s inclusion was also Aamir’s idea.”

Sources further add, “All of Aamir’s ad campaigns of Tata Sky have been successful and he hopes to make a bigger splash with the latest one with Asin.”

Amitabh gets back to politics

Since his not very happy experiences with politics in the 80s, megastar Amitabh Bachchan has kept away from politics until now, except of course being close to his ‘younger brother’ from the Samajwadi party Amar Singh. Now Mr. Amitabh Bachchan will be actively involved in politics at least on screen.

Prakash Jha is presently busy shooting Rajneeti in Bhopal but has already planned his next project. Reportedly he’s been in talks with Mr. Amitabh Bachchan for a long time about a movie on the subject of reservation in jobs and education. And thankfully now Big B has found spare dates, beginning next year when the film will be shot.

The movie is tentatively titled Aarakshan and is set in the late 1970s and early 80s when the issue of reservation became a raging controversy and youths in cities went to the streets to protest against it.

Mr. Amitabh Bachchan may or may not play a politician in the film, but the film for sure will have a political theme and tenor. Jha wants to shoot the film in Bhopal and is said to have convinced Big B about it.

So get ready to watch Mr. Amitabh Bachchan dabble with long bhashans and khaadi garments. This could very well be greatly interesting if handles well.

Akki calls for a pay cut among stars

The ongoing recession seems to have finally hit the highest paid actor in Bollywood Akshay Kumar. The king of Box Office in an interview said that the top ranking stars will have to take a pay cut to save the industry from the present financial crisis. Akshay who had put a price tag of Rs 30 crores after the success of his movie Singh is Kinng confessed to have take a pay cut for his upcoming movies.

Akshay might have got a wakeup call after his upcoming film 8x10 Tasveer had problems in finding a buyer due to the inflated cost a bulk of which went to the actor. The Nagesh Kukunoor directed movie stars Ayesha Takia in the female lead. Akshay has a host of releases lined up for this year including Kambakth Ishq, Blue and De Dana Dan.

Shahid hides in Priyanka's car

Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra have now decided to make their romance official. Last Saturday, the couple was spotted leaving Karim Morani's 50th birthday party (held at his Juhu bungalow) together in Priyanka's white Mercedes with Shahid's car following behind.

Says a guest at the party, "Priyanka walked in with a friend a bit after midnight while Shahid came in after 1 am. But during the entire time Priyanka was there, Shahid kept calling and talking to her throughout till he reached. After which, they both circulated a bit and quickly withdrew to a secluded corner where they remained, talking in hushed tones, almost till the time they had to leave around 5 am.

When it was time for them to leave, Priyanka, Shahid and Priyanka's friend left together in Priyanka's white Mercedes (MH-02 BG 6345) while Shahid's driver followed behind with his silver Mercedes (MH-02 AQ 4244). While Priyanka is quite happy to show the world that she's in love with Shahid, apparently, he's not in a hurry to do it. He was hiding his face when the photogs were trying to take pictures."

The source adds that the Priyanka-Shahid love story appears to be blossoming. "Apart from their quiet get away together at Karim's party, neighbours at Shahid and Priyanka's apartment complex, Raj Classic, talk about their both taking walks together holding hands, mostly after midnight because that's the time when the grounds get empty and they have some privacy."

The source says, "While Priyanka appears to be smitten by Shahid, one wonders if there were hot sparks between the couple when they were dating other people. In fact, when Shahid and Kareena were going around once Priyanka and Harman had joined them for a holiday in Bali. Shahid would often tell mutual friends of theirs that he found Priyanka hot. But as both were dating others nothing came out of it."
