Shahrukh Khan's shoulder operation has made headlines on almost all the leading satellite channels and newspapers. Right down from Shahrukh Khan arriving at the airport to his being discharged from the Breach Candy hospital, and finally the press conference at his home, the frenzied media tried its level best to keep the people abreast with the surgery of King Khan. As reported, the surgery was a long delayed one, and like the rest of the people we thought that Shahrukh's shooting commitments and Billu's promotion and release were the major causes of the delay.
However, though Billu's promotion was one of the reasons but the most important factor was that six months ago, Shahrukh had given his consent to attend the Zee Carnival, held on February 13, 14 and 15 in London. But a month back he was asked by his doctors to undergo a shoulder surgery. And although he was to have been hospitalized around 13th February for his operation he postponed it to 16th so that he could participate in the Zee Carnival and thus keep his promise. This was of utmost importance to Bollywood's global superstar as the tickets to the carnival had been sold, announcing that SRK would be present there. So, he decided to delay his surgery (bearing excruciating pain all the while) and partake in the carnival and make his fans in UK happy to see their favourite star in person.
Well, that's commitment for you!
