An ardent supporter of homosexuality, Celina Jaitley seems to be an upset soul these days. Last week, she was the chief guest at the re-launch of India’s first gay magazine ‘Bombay Dost’, India’s first registered Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender (LGBT) magazine.
But after the launch party, Celina received various hate mails and messages; some even questioned Celina’s sexuality and wrote that she too is a homosexual. This experience has disturbed the actress because one of her close gay friends suffered due to the prejudices of the homophobic society.
But Celina is undeterred. During the launch, itself she had stated: “It saddens me that people have so much hatred towards sexual minorities and people who show them support. It’s also unfortunate that people have not stopped their hatred against the gay community but have only learnt to mask it.”
