Rs.50 Lacs Song Cost For Actress Priyamani’s New Movie

Just a song cost the Arumugam (also referred to as Aarumugam) producers almost Rs. 50 lacs! After all, they had to build an exact replica of the world-famous Crawford Market of Mumbai for this song! Yes! When the makers of Arumugam (which stars Bharath, Priyamani and Ramya Krishna) decided they would film a song composed by Deva in a market, they could not settle for anything less than Mumbai’s Crawford Market. Since it is not practically possible to film at this bustling place, they opted to build its exact replica in Hyderabad’s Ramoji Film City! All this for a song! But it is believed that they even shot a few fight sequences following the song in the same set.

By doing so, the crew avoided the hassle of filming in the crowded alleys of one of India’s most famous and busy markets. Though the crew are relieved having escaped the near-impossible task of shooting in the real Crawford Market, they still have one regret. Had they been to the place, they would have definitely shopped in this area where the shops have a marvellous collection of imported items – ranging from food to artifacts – items that even world travellers may not see in one place!
